Upon viewing Dante's solo dance in the center of hell, we watch Virgil lead him straight to the gates of purgatory.
Upon arriving at the Gate of Purgatory, Dante views Beatrice praying among the crowd. Just as Dante is about to reach her, she begins her descent to heaven.
